The Black Death and Cockroach are a couple of seasoned sailors that are synonymous with fly fishing for tarpon. I designed this fly to pay tribute to both. The Old Salt brings in the feather tails and soft marabou wrap, along with the stiffer spun deer, trimmed to a tidy, bullet shape. In a variety of proven colors and two sizes of Gamakatsu SL12S Short, you're able to find the right one for clean or dirty water conditions. Think of the stories you'll be able to tell.
