Streamer Hooks

We have a variety of hooks for streamer fishing. Traditional streamer hooks have a long shank and wider hook gap, while modern hooks often have a short shank while maintaining a wide gap. Longer hooks are generally used for non articulated streamers, like egg sucking leeches, muddler minnows, or zoo cougars. Shorter shank hooks can be used for non articulated streamers, esspecially for small baitfish patterns, but are the preferred hook for articulated streamers. Shorter shanks are typically stronger and keep the overall size down in the fly.
