Skagit style shooting heads are the most popular spey lines. They make throwing a large fly easy for most anglers and range in length from 11 - 29' depending on the particular line. These heads are designed to be coupled with a running line system and either sink tip or floating tip, which is sold separately. Trout spey anglers prefer extremely short shooting heads, and anglers targeting Steelhead or Atlantic Salmon will favor longer heads.
