SCANDI SHOOTING HEADS

Scandi Shooting HeadsAnglers that are fishing lightweight spey flies for salmon and steelhead on rivers will make great use of a SCANDI SHOOTING HEAD because it flies through the air so well and provides a natural presentation to the fish and big distance. They are a bit tricker to cast than Skagit heads but deliver a fly with grace and make a very natural presentation. Most of these lines also require use of a running line as well. Scandi style casts include the Snake Roll, Double Spey, and Single Spey. You can also do a Snap T but the Snake Roll is the most efficient Scandi style cast for most anglers.
