Iconic 5+
Best For: 5–7 wt rods
Ideal Use: All-around trout, light bass, smaller light-duty saltwater (sea-run cutts, schoolie stripers, bonefish in calmer conditions).
Highlights: Lightweight frame, super-smooth drag for lighter tippets, plenty of backing for standard trout and light salt setups.
Iconic 7+
Best For: 7–9 wt rods
Ideal Use: Big trout with sink tips, steelhead, aggressive warmwater, and mid-range saltwater (redfish, bonefish, snook, smaller stripers). Highlights: Serious stopping power in a still-compact frame, super versatile “crossover” reel that can live on both your steelhead and salt rigs.
Iconic 9+
Best For: 9–11 wt rods
Ideal Use: Heavy saltwater and big-game work (tarpon, GTs, big stripers, dorado, roosterfish) and heavier anadromous setups.
