2026 DATES:
Join us for an unforgettable women’s fly fishing adventure based at Canyon River Ranch, home of Red’s Fly Shop and the Canyon River Grill. This thoughtfully designed two‑day experience focuses on building skills, confidence, and connection while fishing two incredible Central Washington rivers.
Whether you’re newer to fly fishing or simply looking for a supportive, skill‑driven getaway, this retreat blends expert instruction, time on the water, and relaxed evenings back at the ranch.
Each day begins and ends at Canyon River Ranch, with anglers departing for their day’s adventure on either the Naches or Yakima River before reconvening at the resort in the late afternoon. With groups rotating between rivers, every participant experiences both the intimacy of wade fishing and the broader perspective of fishing from a drift boat.
For those stepping into the water, the Naches offers a quieter, more intimate encounter with the river. Wading through moving water invites you to slow down—to feel the current around your legs, listen to the sounds of the canyon, and carefully approach lies where cutthroat trout hold in clear, cold flows. There’s a timeless romance to this style of fishing: deliberate casts, thoughtful movement, and the reward of meeting wild fish on their own terms in a truly natural setting.
Whether wading or floating, each day is about presence—being immersed in the river, the landscape, and the experience itself. Evenings bring everyone back together at Canyon River Ranch, where anglers can relax, share stories, and enjoy dinner at the Canyon River Grill if they choose.
Each day begins and ends at Canyon River Ranch, with anglers heading out to either the Naches or Yakima River before coming back together at the resort in the afternoon. By rotating between rivers, everyone gets to experience both wade fishing and fishing from a drift boat over the course of the trip.
Fishing the Yakima River from a boat is all about covering water and settling into the flow of the day. Drifting downstream gives anglers a great look at how a bigger river works—long seams, riffles, and deeper runs—while allowing guides to keep you in productive water. It’s a relaxed but engaging way to fish, combining steady casting, helpful coaching, and plenty of chances to connect with feeding trout.
No matter which river you’re on that day, the focus is simply being out there—fishing, learning, and enjoying time on the water. Evenings bring everyone back to Canyon River Ranch to unwind, share stories, and enjoy dinner at the Canyon River Grill if they choose.
