Keep the Momentum Going
The best way to reinforce what you’ve learned in an Intro Course is to get out and fish! Whether you book a guided trip for expert coaching, go DIY fishing to put your skills to the test, or join a Fishalong adventure for a fun, supportive experience with fellow anglers, the key is time on the water. Each option helps solidify your new techniques and builds confidence, ensuring you continue to grow as an angler.
It doesn't take our instructors hours on end to teach even advanced concepts. Give us 90 minutes and an opportunity to explain in group format, and we promise you'll gain an advanced understanding of even some of the most technical strategies.
Most group lessons take place riverside and will primarily feature instructors teaching, demonstrating proper technique, and answering questions. Seeing a cast, drift, or mend done right is the most effective way for students to become successful quickly.
Leave the course with this information and practice it on the water or independently. Our goal is to create strong and successful DIY anglers. Group lessons max at (12) students and you'll get plenty of time to ask questions and drive discussion.
Our Technical Intro Courses are built on the idea that learning is best reinforced by getting out and fishing right away. We schedule these classes in the morning so students can immediately apply their new skills with a guided trip, Fishalong adventure, or DIY outing on the Yakima River Canyon that same day. There’s no better time to put new techniques into action than while they’re fresh in your mind, turning knowledge into experience on the water.
