Rocky Ford Spring Creek is home to big Rainbow Trout and is just over an hour east of Red's Fly Shop. These big trout are smart, and offer a sincere challenge to fly fisherman. Let us show you the ropes and help try to connect you with what might be the biggest trout of your life! Our friendly pros teach and fish along with you in this fun format.

Join our crew and learn the basics of how to fish for these big brutes on this well known spring creek in eastern Washington. Located just over an hour east of Red's Fly Shop, Rocky Ford is a great public water spring creek and provides great entertainment... mixed with a tad of frustration for the adventuring angler.

Tactics will vary based on conditions, and our goal is to help give you the skills and confidence to venture out here indpendently of our team.

Course Details

Course Details

Students should be prepared to walk but not wade. Regulations don't allow us to physically get in the water, but since the shoreline is muddy most of us wear waders. The name of the game is sight casting and is very exciting... and humbling.

Fishalong Details:

  • Gear Required (Rod, Reel, Flies, Leaders)
  • Instructor will mix 70% Instruction, 30% Fishing to Demonstrate
  • 3+ Hour Course, anglers encouraged to fish longer using new skills
  • Rubber Soled Boots Recommended (felt ok but not preferred)
  • Fishing License Required

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

Once a reservation is made we are fully committed to you and have lost the opporuntity to offer the space to other anglers. Cancellations for Fishalong Adventures less than 14 days from the outing will forfeit the course fee or the University Credit used to register. Cancellations more than 14 days from the outing will forfeit 5% of the course fee, University enrolled students can re-book into a later date. Red's Fly Shop has the sole authority to cancel adventures based on conditions.

Cancellations for Casting Classes less than 48 hours from the class will forfeit the course fee or the University Credit used to register. Cancellations more than 48 hours from the Casting Class will forfeit 5% of the course fee, University enrolled students can re-book into a later date.

Tuition payments and course credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
