Red's is here to help make you the best caster you can be. Fly casting isn't something you can master be looking at the internet. It takes mentorship, practice, and focused time working on the physical fundamentals of the cast.
Our friendly instructors offer one hour private lessons in both basic and advanced casting. Take a course with us a few times each year for continuing education and a stronger cast.
Join our crew for one of our many casting lessons put on by Red's Fly Shop right here along the river at the Canyon River Ranch. We teach two different courses in both single hand and spey casting, so rest assured the instructor will meet you at your level.
Students that either complete our University Core Classes, or have limited experience should enroll in our private casting course. The instructor will repeat the basics and build on the existing skill set of the student. Our instructos can tailor our advice specifically to your level.
This lessons is helpful to enroll in more than once in order to help you progressively build your stroke. We don't believe casting is best learned on the water. During a lesson we can cognitively focus on your cast, and in our experience we see students progress at a much faster rate than attempting to learn while fishing.
