A Special Destination
The great Lefty Kreh has described Christmas Island as "the best Bonefish fishing on the planet..." Come decide for yourself. This is one of the most famous fly fishing destinations in the world and this is your chance to sign up for this trip with a host that is going to travel alongside you for the entire week.
Anglers will spend most of their time stalking Bonefish, with Giant Trevally or "GT's" being the trophy species. GT's are amazing fish, and catching a fast cruiser on the open flats that is spotted and sight cast to is a very special catch. You will never forget it.
On our trips we don't use chum to lure the fish in close. We work hard and try to catch these brutes "fair chase". Catch numbers of these beasts are not high and we want to keep expectations realistic for every angler that comes along. All anglers will get shots at big GT's while wading the flats. Not everyone will get one however... but when you do it's a big party that night! We celebrate the victories together.
Cost & Trip Details
7 Nights/6 Days of Fishing - $3650 per angler *Dates listed include travel days to/from Honolulu. Your return flight from CXI will be one day before your Honolulu arrival due to the Int'l Date Line.
Trip Includes:
- FREE Admission to Saltwater Rendezvous
- 7 Nights and 6 Full Days of Guided Flats Fishing
- All meals at the lodge
- Airport pickup once on the ground in Christmas Island
Not Included:
- Airfare (requires flight to Honolulu & flight to CXI Cassidy Int'l via Fiji Airways)

- Fishing License ($50 +/-)
- Hotel in Honolulu and any Airport Shuttles
- Gratuities

- Flies, leaders, gear, etc.

The Red's Hosted Experience
A Red's team member will travel with you and help make your experience the most efficient, rewarding, and best adventure we can. We're there to aid the lodge in coordinating ground transfers, assigning guides, meeting angler expectations, and helping problem solve should any challenges arise. Your host will mentor as necessary, work with the lodge's head guide to coordinate guide pairings, and make group wide decisions that best serve all Red's customers.
Christmas Island is located about 3.5 hours flight south of Honolulu, about 3.5 degrees north of the equator. This is a long ways from anywhere and this makes it a big trip! Having a Red's host along for the ride helps insure that you can get advice throughout the trip and a spokesman is working on your behalf to help insure that you are safe, informed, and have a productive experience. Let our team help you plan the trip of a lifetime to Christmas Island.
Proper preparation
Fly into Honolulu on Monday. Tuesday, fly to Christmas Island and check into the lodge. Wednesday - Monday fish, fish, fish. Tuesday, transfer to the airport, fly to Honolulu, fly home.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of the reservation. Final payments are due 90 days prior to the departure date. For all trips scheduled less than 90 days out, full payment is required upon reservation. Cancellations will forfeit all payments unless the adventure is booked to full capacity. At this time customers will receive a refund minus a $100 administrative fee. Anglers may reschedule an upcoming adventure more than 90 days prior to departure, but will be assessed a $100 administrative fee for the itinerary change.
Red's Fly Shop and the destination outfitter are not responsible for loss of fishing days due to missed flights, sickness, injury, weather delays, or any other reason. Red's Fly Shop also reserves the right to make alterations to the itinerary as deemed necessary or desirable, even if additional costs are passed onto members of the party. Additionally, any expenditures caused by delays, or occurrences beyond the control of Red's Fly Shop are the responsibility of the guest. Lost baggage, gear, rods, or other personal items are also not the responsibility of Red's Fly Shop or the destination outfitter. Initial payment is acknowledgment that the guest has read and understands these policies.
COVID 19 POLICY: In the event that tourism travel to your destination is legally and formally prohibited due to Covid, or requires an extended quarantine, customers may move their payments in full to another adventure with no penalty. If a refund is requested Red's will retain a $100 administrative fee.
