Red's Fly Shop is located in the heart of the Yakima Canyon. With our own private boat launch/takeout, there is no better place in the country to rent a fishing boat. Our location and shuttle service makes it easy on the customer. All renters must have river rowing experience, and all liability and risk is assumed by the rower and passengers. Our rental service spans from Ringer Road to Roza Recreation Area.
Our fiberglass rental fleet is composed of Clackacraft Drift Boats, we have both Eddy and Headhunter Skiff models available. Our framed fishing rafts are RIO Craft Madison 3-man fishing rafts, RIO Craft 10.5' Colorado 2-man fishing raft and our single person watercrafts are WaterMaster. While life jackets are not legally required to be worn, we strongly encourage all guests to wear lifejackets. If you plan to wear a PFD, in insure perfect fit and all day comfort anglers should bring their own.
Customers that have the most river boat rowing experience typically choose to rent one of our Clackacraft drift boats. Upon reservation, customers can specify whether they would prefer a larger Eddy style hull, or the sleeker Headhunter II skiff.
Our crew will do all the boat towing, launching, and take the boat out. Customers do not need to do any towing. Customers are solely liable for their own saftey and the condition of the boat and accompanying equipment including oars and anchor.
Our framed fishing rafts are excellent boats for a group that is experienced enough to safely navigate rivers, but more comfortable in an inflatable boat. In low water conditions the soft nature of rafts are more forgiving.

Fishing the Yakima Canyon in a personal watercraft like a WaterMaster brand boat can be an excellent choice. We prefer river flows to be below 3,000 cfs to provide more productive wading opporunities, although anglers will use personal watercraft at nearly any level. The strategy with these boats is to float to a fishy location, and wade either in or out of the boat. We do not encourage trying to fish while floating in these boats.
