My Grandson and I hunted with Cameron and Snuggles on Saturday. What a fantastic time we had and a memorable outing. It was my Grandson's first pheasant hunting trip and we were well taken care of by Cameron. I was so glad to have an excellent guide like Cameron to help and show him the ropes with such expertise and knowledge. Snuggles did a fantastic job of finding birds, holding his point, and retrieving the down birds as well. Having my grandson watch the working of a dog and his master, Cameron, is a big part of the whole experience too. We did very well on collecting our birds too, 6 roosters a piece. My Brother Brian and i recently stayed at the Mt Adams lodge and fished the Klickitat. Oct. 11,12. KynsLee could not have been a better host! Made us feel welcome from the minute we drove on the property. Wonderful accommodations and great food! Max is a hardworking down to earth human who also happens to be an excellent fly fishing guide. Although the fishing was tough, only one hook up, not for lack of effort! Max worked that river like a rib bone!We truly enjoyed our day on the river with Max. This was third time rental boat from Reds and it was once again great. The hoppers and colors they recommend were spot on and the dropper flies they recommended mixed with our small Colorado flies did the trick. Crazy right. So, when I ordered those streamers, they were supposed to arrive Monday July 8th. Well, I just got them today, Friday July 5th. That is some fast delivery! I ordered some Texas rigid style worms. A took a friend on a float with Steve Burns last Saturday. This was his first trip with Red's and my 4th with Steve. The first time Steve guided me in 2020, he had just been hired. Fishing was tough, but he put in the work and got me on some decent fish. I had a blast. Another time I was out, the fishing was even worse. I only hooked three, but they were all huge and I landed them all, thanks to some fighting instruction from the aforementioned guide.
