Each trip focuses on a specific section of the river, allowing you to explore and gain confidence fishing new areas on foot. Longtime guests often say that wade fishing brings a deeper connection to the water and the fish. Your guide will share invaluable insights, demonstrate effective techniques, and even fish alongside you for part of the day to show how they approach each piece of water. It’s the ultimate combination of exploration, education, and adventure!

This trip is exclusively wade fishing, without any fishing from the boat.

Each Trout Taxi float will take place on a pre-determined section of the Yakima River, allowing guests to choose the area they’d like to explore on their selected day. Our goal is over time for guess to be able to fish every section of the Yakima River.

This trip is tailored for independent anglers, so guests are required to bring their own flies, gear, and waders, as well as pack their own lunch. For floats on the upper river, you’ll meet your guide at the takeout location and perform a self-shuttle to position the guide’s boat trailer.

The adventure accommodates up to three anglers and requires a minimum of two participants. If you’re the only booking for the day, we reserve the option to cancel the trip, (days in advance) or offer you the choice to pay for two spots and enjoy a solo experience to keep your adventure on schedule.
