Leader Kit for Christmas Island

Christmas Island is arguably one of the best destinations for schools of large bonefish and shots at massive GT's. Also, opportunities at Triggerfish abound. The Bonefish are large and historically not terribly leader shy 12lbs, 16lb, and even 20lb leader is appropriate. Gt's require 60 to 80lb straight fluorocarbon leaders that are 6ft long. The shorter leader will turn over those heavier flies easier. You can use your bonefish leader for Triggerfish however a 30lb leader is considered more appropriate if you are targeting Triggers, due to their teeth.

This leader kit is for the "well-prepared" angler that will have enough materials to be completely independent of anyone else, and likely able to help other anglers that might be in a pinch for a leader or some tippet. Build your own kit based on what you personally need.
