This is the #1 fly our team uses and recommends for fishing on Christmas Island and it works elsewhere too! We like this pattern for other destinations as well anytime a relatively heavy fly is required.

This pattern has heavily weighted eyes and is very effective in situations with tidal currents of fishing off of ledges. Make sure to take a few lightweight patterns in addition to these flies. Anglers will appreciate the sink rate of this fly due to the sparse body and dense eyes.
