Noe Perez is a passionate fly fishing guide from White Salmon, Washington, now living in Ellensburg. Self-taught on Rowland Lake, Noe quickly developed a love for the sport, especially steelhead fishing. His guiding experience spans the Yakima River, Skagit River, Olympic Peninsula, remote Alaskan waters, and local ponds, offering clients a variety of fishing opportunities for steelhead, trout, and more. Noe does it all!
Noe’s approach to guiding emphasizes the joy of the process over just catching fish. His ideal clients are those eager to learn and enjoy the experience, not just focus on the catch. Whether dry fly fishing, bobber fishing, or chasing steelhead, Noe is passionate about keeping things simple and effective—no dry droppers allowed! Total joke there but he does like to keep his dry fly fishing clean and focused.

“Noe is a rockstar.”
We fished with three kids in tough conditions, and Noe absolutely delivered. He was patient, engaging, and flexible, adjusting plans to make the day incredible. The kids caught solid fish, learned a ton, and had an absolute blast. Noe truly changed the experience for us.

“The guide you want when learning matters.”
Noe has an incredible way of teaching. He took the time to explain goals for the day and helped us understand how river conditions—like low water—were impacting the fishing. His passion for the outdoors and the Yakima Valley really shows. Loved every minute of it.

“Four trips in and already planning more.”
This was my fourth time fishing with Noe, and every trip has been better than the last. He’s a great coach, always adjusting flies and tactics to suit the conditions. We’re already getting dates on the books for September and October—Noe’s our go-to.

“Perfect first-time experience.”
As a first-time solo fly angler, I was a little nervous. Noe made it easy. He was on time, super helpful with casting instruction, and just plain easy to be around. I left the day feeling confident and already excited to come back in the spring.

“A great guy and an even better guide.”
Noe did an awesome job making us feel comfortable asking questions and learning throughout the float. He’s incredibly personable, professional, and just a pleasure to spend time with. I’ve hunted with Red’s before, but this was my first fishing trip—and I’m already planning the next.

Outside of guiding, Noe enjoys hunting, fishing, and lifting heavy weights. You can tell haha. His dream trip is to fish for steelhead in Kamchatka.
Noe’s #1 advice for beginners? Be patient and learn from every mistake—it pays off in the end. His guiding superpower is the bobber game, and he strives to ensure every guest has a fun, rewarding day on the water.
Noe is a dedicated outdoorsman, with a deep passion for both fishing and hunting both big game and upland birds. When he's not guiding on the Yakima, you can find him chasing other adventures in the field.
He lives in Ellensburg with his girlfriend, two kids, and their two dogs, Roxy and Powder. If Noe could have dinner with anyone, it would be the legendary Daniel Boone. Wouldn't that be an experience! The one fly he always keeps in his box? A trusty Pat’s Stone—can't live without it. Wouldn't even consider fishing without it.
