Solitude's Crane Fly #10 - Terrestrial Dry Fly for Trout
This is one of the very best flies to use in clear water where the fish have been hit hard with hoppers. The trout seem to let down their guard when you fish a Crane fly. It isn't something as commonly fished as foam hopper type patterns on most rivers so the trout don't seem to suspect a thing, especially the larger trout. We use this in the summer and fall A LOT after the trout have long since given up on eating out big Chernobyl Ants.
This fly looks incredibly real and is something that everyone should have when they need a go-to dry fly in clear water conditions.
