Cuba Zapata Liveaboard Dates

Now that flights to Cuba are available directly from the US this trip has become a reality for many anglers. Because of the stringent regulations on fishing pressure, Cuba is an angling mecca for pursuing Permit, Bonefish, and Tarpon. The Red's Fly Shop group will be a total of 8 anglers including the host. Lodging is on a "live aboard" vessel, a 100' yacht called the Georgianna. It features comfortable cabins and private bathrooms. We'll depart for fishing directly from the yacht each morning in skiffs.

Georgiana Yacht

This luxury yacht full constructed and designed for outdoor purposes, is an exceptional and exclusive 100 feet vessel with comfortable cabins, private bathroom used for weekly trips inside the Marine Park of Zapata Peninsula.

Cuisine on Georgiana is gourmet but simple. Fresh fish of the day is utilized for most meals, salads with fresh vegetables and a variety of fruits are always available and a good alternative to a daily diet. In addition, you'll have excellent pork and chicken entrees during the week, fresh sashimi and italian style pizzas for appetizers and some of the finest frozen Daiquiris, Cuba Libre and Mojitos to make your afternoons and nights an enjoyable culinary experience.

Regarding fishing, this yacht will be located in our exclusive fishing area, where after an intensive research we have assigned 6 different fishing areas, planning to introduce a rotation system, similar to the one used in other Cuban destinations. This allows to reduce fishing pressure on each area, having non spooky fish, and increasing chances of success. Guides are being trained under this method, we will continue researching all over this year, to start receiving guests from 2016.

Dream, Plan, Fish

Traveling to Cuba is a big trip with incredible opportunities at all the major in-shore species. Make the most of it by learning before you go.

The Red's Hosted Experience

A Red's team member will travel with you and help make your experience the most efficient, rewarding, and best adventure we can. We're there to aid the outfitter in coordinating ground transfers, assigning guides, meeting angler expectations, and helping problem solve should any challenges arise. Your host will mentor as necessary, work with the head guide to coordinate guide pairings, and make group wide decisions that best serve all Red's customers.

The travel paperwork for Cuba is a bit more complicated than a trip to our other neighboring countries. Your host and team at Red's will assist in all these processes, but remember that the angler bears the burden of responsibility for all personal documention outside of the group travel permit.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of the reservation. Final payments are due 90 days prior to the departure date. For all trips scheduled less than 90 days out, full payment is required upon reservation. Cancellations will forfeit all payments unless the adventure is booked to full capacity. At this time customers will receive a refund minus a $100 administrative fee. Anglers may reschedule an upcoming adventure more than 90 days prior to departure, but will be assessed a $100 administrative fee for the itinerary change.

Red's Fly Shop and the destination outfitter are not responsible for loss of fishing days due to missed flights, sickness, injury, weather delays, or any other reason. Red's Fly Shop also reserves the right to make alterations to the itinerary as deemed necessary or desirable, even if additional costs are passed onto members of the party. Additionally, any expenditures caused by delays, or occurrences beyond the control of Red's Fly Shop are the responsibility of the guest. Lost baggage, gear, rods, or other personal items are also not the responsibility of Red's Fly Shop or the destination outfitter. Initial payment is acknowledgment that the guest has read and understands these policies.

COVID 19 POLICY: In the event that tourism travel to your destination is legally and formally prohibited due to Covid, or requires an extended quarantine, customers may move their payments in full to another adventure with no penalty. If a refund is requested Red's will retain a $100 administrative fee.
